Howley named Association of Division III Independents men’s swimming Student-Athlete of the Month

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology junior Brendan Howley (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men's swimming Student-Athlete of the Month for January. Howley won the 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Breaststroke in a dual meet at Lawrence on January 14th, posting times of 22.01 seconds and 58.55 seconds, respectively. The junior went on to win the 200 Yard Breaststroke in a dual meet with Carroll on January 21st, finishing with a time of 2:15.15. Howley also finished second out of ten swimmers in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 22.08 seconds at the meet. The junior concluded the month by winning the 100 Meter Breaststroke at the dual meet with Lake Forest on January 28th, finishing with a time of 1:05.77.
