The Association of Division III Independents Recently Awarded a Division III Technology Grant
The Association of Division III Independents recently was awarded a Division III Technology grant to further improve web-based communications to its members. Improvements to the association's Web site will make the site more user-friendly and increase opportunities for feedback and on-going communication through more frequent updates and varied means of access.
The site has been expanded to include a section devoted to recognizing the athletic achievements of student-athletes at its member institutions. This section will improve links to, and information about, its members' athletics programs and participating student-athletes. The section also will serve as the primary means for submitting nominations on-line for student-athlete award winners. Information regarding award nominees and recipients will be distributed to member schools and the media electronically.
The association also plans to explore the feasibility of collecting and publishing statistics throughout the regular-season in selected sports.
