Norton earns AD3I men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas senior guard Jim Norton (Louisville, Ky.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. Norton led the Crusaders with 61 points over three games (20.3 ppg). He shot 55.8% from the field (24-of-43), 64.3% from beyond the arc (9-of-14) and 72.7% from the foul line (8-of-11) in 91 minutes of action. He also contributed 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 7 steals and 1 block on the week.

 

Sczepanski named AD3I women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, Texas) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In a pair of games, Sczepanski averaged 18.5 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals on 45.9% shooting (17-of-37). She recorded her sixth double-double of the year and added 4 assists and 3 blocks on the week.

The Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week awards program begins on August 31, 2009, and is based on nominations from the organization's member schools.
