Norton earns Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior guard Jim Norton (Louisville, K.Y.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. In two games, he scored 40 points for a 20.0 average. He shot 55.6% from the field (15-of-27) and 66.7% from both beyond the arc (4-of-6) and from the free throw line (6-of-9). He also averaged 3.0 rebounds per game. In a game against Southwestern University, he scored 24 points while shooting 9-of-16 from the field and 3-of-4 from three-point land.

 

Osley named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mount Mary College sophomore point guard Jordan Osley (Milwaukee, Wis.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In two games on the week, Osley nearly averaged a triple-double with 27.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game. She was one assist shy of the feat when she produced 36 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists in a loss to Alverno. She also added 18 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals in a loss to Dominican.
