Harrington earns third consecutive Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Vermont College senior forward Nick Harrington (Brooklyn, N.Y.) continues his domination and is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week once again. In three games, Harrington averaged 30.7 points and 21.3 rebounds. In a win over Vermont Tech, he collected 35 points and 24 boards and also added five assists. He produced 26 points and 21 rebounds in a victory over MCLA and capped the week with a 31-point, 19-rebound performance against Newbury. Harrington is averaging 25.4 points and 15.5 rebounds on the season.

Fagan named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Vermont College freshman forward Julia Fagan (New Britain, Conn.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In two games, Fagan averaged 28.5 points and 12 rebounds per contest as the Mountaineers won their first two games of the season. Against Vermont Tech, Fagan just missed a triple-double with 24 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals. She also added three blocks and four assists. In their second game, Fagan led the team with 33 points and 12 boards and also chipped in with six blocks, five assists and five steals. Fagan is averaging 19.6 points and 8.8 rebounds on the season.
