KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Green Mountain College sophomore point guard Brittany Holden (Schenectady, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In a 1-1 week, Holden averaged 14 points, 9.5 assists and two steals per game. In a 71-65 loss to Lyndon State, Holden posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists and also nabbed two steals. In the Eagles’ 69-51 victory over Fisher, Holden tallied 15 points on 67 percent field goal shooting and posted seven assists and a pair of steals. She connected on 3-of-3 three-pointers in the win. On the week, she shot 52 percent from the floor. Holden is coached by Jen Heath.
