MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lincoln University (PA) junior guard Kyle Myrick is the Association of Division III Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks after posting his second double-double of the season and leading the Lions (11-4) to their sixth consecutive win.

In Lincoln’s 103-83 win over St. Mary’s College (MD) on January 17, Myrick scored 26 points, with 10 assists and four steals, while shooting an amazing 10-of-12 from the field (.833) and 6-fo-6 at the line. It was the eighth time this season Myrick has shot better than 50 percent in a game.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nicole Hall scored more than 22 points in all three games last week for the Angels and after averaging 23.3 points, 6.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game, is the Association of Division III Independents Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. She is the first Meredith athlete to ever receive a weekly independent award. The Angels (5-6) went 2-1 last week, losing only in overtime. She also shot .481 from the field (25-52), .368 from three-point range (7-19) and 13-16 at the line (.813).

In an 81-58 win over Bennett College on January 18, Hall notched 26 points (9-17 FG, 7-9 FT), dished 11 assists, and grabbed six rebounds. On January 22, Hall amassed 22 points (8-17 FG) with four steals in a 66-60 overtime loss to Spelman College. The Angels answered their loss with a 60-53 win against Agnes Scott College on January 23. In that game, Hall led Meredith with 22 points (8-18), including 4-of-8 from three-point range, and delivered five assists.
