Dinan earns AD3I men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nebraska Wesleyan University sophomore guard Nick Dinan (Omaha, Neb.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. Dinan averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game for the week. His best performance was in his team’s upset win over NAIA No. 8 Briar Cliff, where he scored 23 points and added four rebounds, four assists and three steals. He impressively went 9-of-9 from the charity stripe to help seal the victory. On the week, he shot 52.4% from the floor, 40.0% from three-point range and 90.9% from the foul line.

McQuillan named AD3I women’s basketball Player of the Week

St. Joseph’s College (N.Y.) sophomore guard Ashley McQuillan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. McQuillan led her squad to a 1-1 record on the week, averaging 24 points per game on 57.5% shooting from the floor (19-for-33) and 63.6% shooting from behind the arc (7-for-11). Her best game on the week came in a win over Lancaster Bible where she had 28 points, including four three-pointers. She also added four assists.
