Ekmark earns AD3I men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas senior guard/forward Travis Ekmark (Yokosuka, Japan) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. In a pair of games, Ekmark averaged 15.0 points and 13.5 rebounds, along with 2.0 steals per contest. He shot 45.5% from the floor (10-of-22) and went 8-of-12 from the charity stripe.

 

Yoshimura named AD3I women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas freshman guard Kylie Yoshimura (Temple City, Calif.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. Yoshimura led her squad to two wins on the week, averaging 19.5 points and 6.0 assists per game. She shot 57.7% (15-of-26) from the field, including 8-of-16 from beyond the arc. She added four rebounds and three steals as UD improved to 10-10 overall.

 

All Players of the Week for All Sports

The Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week awards program begins on August 31, 2009, and is based on nominations from the organization's member schools.
