Gordon earns Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Finlandia University junior guard Tyler Gordon (Red Cliff, Wis.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. Gordon led the Lions to a victory in their only game of the week. He recorded 24 points, five rebounds, four steals and one assist. He shot 47.4% from the floor (9-of-19) and 44.4% from beyond the arc (4-of-9).

 

Tincknell named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Finlandia University junior forward Ally Tincknell (Negaunee, Mich.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. Tincknell led the Lions to a pair of wins on the week with a pair of double-doubles. She averaged 17.0 points, 14.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest. In game one, she posted 10 points and 12 rebounds and followed that showing with a 24-point, 16-rebound performance in game number two. She shot a blistering 83.3% from the floor (10-of-12) and added five assists in the second victory.
