Jackson named Association of Division III Independents women’s track and field Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lincoln University ( Pa.) sophomore sprinter Shanda Jackson ( East Orange , N.J. ) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s track and field Athlete of the Week. Jackson repeated as the 55-meter dash national champion at this weekend’s NCAA Div. III Indoor Track and Field Championships at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. Jackson won the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.09 seconds. She also set a school record of 7.05 seconds in the trials earlier in the meet. Jackson’s effort helped Lincoln finish eighth overall as a team. Jackson is coached by Cyrus Jones.
