Beckman earns Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week award

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nebraska Wesleyan University freshman outfielder Brady Beckman (Fremont, Neb.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Beckman went 7-for-13 at the plate (.538) with three doubles and a slugging percentage of .769 as NWU went 1-3 on the week. Under coach Bill Fagler, the Prairie Wolves are now 9-6 overall.

 

Wagner named Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nebraska Wesleyan University freshman pitcher Ashley Wagner (Minden, Iowa) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. Wagner went 2-0 on the mound, allowing just nine hits, three earned runs and three walks in 12 innings of work. She finished with seven strikeouts and tossed a one-hitter in a 6-0 win at Mt. Marty College on March 25.

The Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week awards program begins on September 11, 2006 and is based on nominations from the organization's member schools.
