Pawlak earns Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Vermont College sophomore shortstop Brett Pawlak (Ansonia, Conn.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Pawlak went 6-of-9 (.667) from the plate with six RBI, three runs scored, two stolen bases and one walk. He registered an .889 slugging percentage and a .700 on-base percentage to go along with a perfect week in the field. He also tallied a bases-clearing triple during the Mountaineers’ 1-1 week.

 

Roy named Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mitchell College junior shortstop Liz Roy (Jewett City, Conn.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. In Mitchell’s 3-3 week, Roy batted .526 with eight RBI, going 10-of-19 at the plate. On the week, she smashed four triples and a double.

The Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week awards program begins on September 3, 2007 and is based on nominations from the organization's member schools.
