Worley named Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nebraska Wesleyan University sophomore outfielder Kelsey Worley (Lincoln, Neb.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. Worley hit .542 (13-for-24) at the plate last week as Nebraska Wesleyan went 4-2 and finished its season 24-12 overall. She raised her season average to .433, which ranks third in single-season history at NWU. Worley also made the All-Tournament Team and led the Prairie Wolves to wins over Clarke College and Finlandia University at the AD3I Midwest Tournament held May 4-5 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Davis receives Association of Division III Independents men’s track and field Athlete of the Week award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lincoln University (Pa.) sophomore sprinter Wayne Davis (Mizpah, N.J.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents men’s track and field Athlete of the Week. A week after anchoring Lincoln’s 4x200-meter relay team to victory at the Penn Relays, Davis won the 100-meter dash (11.02) and anchored the 4x100-meter relay team to victory (41.41). Lincoln recorded their second fastest time of the season in the 4x1.

Jackson earns Association of Division III Independents women’s track and field Athlete of the Week award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lincoln University (Pa.) junior sprinter Shanda Jackson (East Orange, N.J.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents women’s track and field Athlete of the Week. The All-American won the 100-meter dash (12.20), 200-meter dash (25.56) and anchored the 4x100-meter relay team to victory (47.09) at the University of Delaware Open Saturday afternoon. Jackson, the reigning champion in the 100, provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
