Murphy receives Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of California-Santa Cruz senior forward Annick Lamb (Santa Barbara, Calif.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week. Lamb helped the Slugs to an important victory over Div. III rival University of Redlands, 2-1. She scored both goals, bringing her total to six on the season. The Slugs improve to 3-1-1 overall.

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas sophomore middle blocker Celina Farrell (Corinth, Texas) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. In 17 games, she accumulated 58 kills and just 18 errors on her way to a .296 attack percentage and 3.41 kills per game average. She also had six service aces, eight solo blocks and 13 block assists. Her best game came against Hendrix College when she recorded 18 kills on .405 hitting, eight total blocks and two aces. The Crusaders went 4-1 on the week.
