Trott named Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lancaster Bible College sophomore Sean Trott (Warwick, Bermuda) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the Week. On Saturday, Sept. 20, Trott won the York Invitational 8K Race with a personal best time of 26:44, nearly 30 seconds faster than the second place competitor. Trott has won three consecutive races.

Fichthorn receives Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week honorKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Salem College senior Rachel Fichthorn (Nokesville, Va.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week. Fichthorn helped her team to an eighth place finish out of 14 teams at the Maroon Invitational hosted by Roanoke College with a 5K time of 20:53. She claimed second place out of 89 runners and was also one of three runners to break the course record.

Zook dubbed Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lancaster Bible College sophomore forward Kyle Zook (Lancaster, Pa.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. On the week, Zook tallied three goals and four assists en route to three straight wins for the Chargers. He had at least one goal and one assist in all three wins and has led his team to its best start in school history at 7-1.

Justice receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week awardKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Salem College freshman forward/defender Tatum Justice (Jacksonville, N.C.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week. Justice scored two goals and tallied a pair of assists on the week as Salem went 2-0. She produced the game-winning goal in a 6-1 victory over Peace College and also helped the team to a 1-0 win over Randolph College.

Fuentes named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas sophomore defensive specialist Kelli Fuentes (Garland, Texas) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. Fuentes led the team with 55 digs and also contributed four service aces. She tallied 5.5 digs per game as Dallas went 2-1 over the weekend. Fuentes recorded game-highs of 24 digs versus Dubuque and four aces against UM-Morris. |
