Pivarunas named Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior Greg Pivarunas (Elma, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the Week. Pivarunas ran a season-best 8K with a time of 29:16.80 on his way to finishing 25th out of 65 runners.

Fichthorn receives Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week honorKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Salem College senior Rachel Fichthorn (Nokesville, Va.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week. Fichthorn placed third overall in the 25th Annual Greensboro Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, helping Salem finish second out of eight Div. III teams. She finished the 5K in 20:39.

Lunger dubbed Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas senior forward Adam Lunger (Keller, Texas) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. Lunger scored two goals in a 3-1 defeat of Paul Quinn College to push UD’s record to 5-2-1 overall.

Justice receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week awardKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Salem College freshman forward/defender Tatum Justice (Jacksonville, N.C.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week for the second week in a row. Justice provided a pair of match winners and four goals overall as Salem went 2-0 on the week. She also added an assist for a total of nine points. Salem improved to 6-3 on the year with road wins over Huntingdon (Ala.) (5-1) and Georgia Wesleyan (3-1).

Walls named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas senior setter Scarlet Walls (Garland, Texas) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. In a three set victory over UT-Tyler, Walls recorded 15 assists, six kills, seven digs, two block assists and a service ace. Her 15 assists helped her set the UD record for assists in a career. She now has 2,373 in her four-year career. |
