Boggs named Association of Division III Independents men’s Runner of the Week NEWBERRY, S.C. – Colorado College sophomore Julian Boggs (Berea, Ky.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men’s Runner of the Week. During the week, Boggs competed in the Fort Hays State Invitational in which he took ninth place. He led the Tigers for the fifth time in five races, this week taking on numerous Div. I and II runners. As a team, Colorado College finished fifth out of 10 teams behind two Div. I programs and one Div. II team. Boggs is coached by Ted Castaneda.

Stewart named Association of Division III Independents women’s Runner of the Week NEWBERRY, S.C. – Colorado College senior Jeanine Stewart (Gig Harbor, Wash.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s Runner of the Week. Stewart finished seventh overall at the Fort Hays State Invitational primarily running against Div. II opponents. Stewart posted her second best 5K time this season at 19:14 and has led her team in all five events to date. As a team, Colorado College finished third out of eight teams. Stewart is coached by Ted Castaneda.

Jarbo receives Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week NEWBERRY, S.C. – Lincoln University (Pa.) sophomore forward Peter Jarbo (Monrovia, Liberia) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. Jarbo scored two goals and added an assist to help Lincoln defeat Rutgers-Newark, 4-1, in the Lions’ only match last week. Jarbo scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 48th minute, after falling behind 1-0 early in the first half. He went on to score one insurance goal and assist on another. In the last two games, Jarbo has netted eight goals, helping his team to five consecutive wins. Jarbo is coached by Sylvester Corbie.

Willette receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week NEWBERRY, S.C. – Saint Joseph’s College freshman midfielder Megan Willette (Waterville, Maine) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season. Willette helped her team to a 2-0 week, posting wins over Green Mountain (5-1) and St. Joseph’s (Vt.) (8-0). On the week, she scored five of the Monks’ 13 goals and also provided two assists. Willette is coached by Michael Bolanz.

Fisher named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week
NEWBERRY, S.C. – Finlandia University sophomore middle blocker Samantha Fisher (Yakima, Wash.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. Fisher helped her team to a 5-1 week and a second place finish at the Great Lakes Christian College Tournament, in which she earned All-Tournament team recognition. On the week, Fisher recorded 66 kills, good for 3.30 a game, and hit .333. She also had nine service aces and accumulated six solo blocks and six assisted blocks. Her consistent play was highlighted by a 14 kill, .435 hitting percentage performance versus Grace Bible College and a 12 kill, .409 hitting percentage performance against Johnson Bible College. Fisher is coached by Victoria Huenink.
