Pivarunas named Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior Angela Cuba (Holliday, Texas) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week. Cuba claimed first place honors out of 21 runners at the 6K UD Invitational. Her time of 24:35 helped the team finish second.

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nebraska Wesleyan University junior goalkeeper Josh Miller (Rapid City, S.D.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. Miller posted two shutouts on the week as NWU went 2-0. He recorded two saves against Midland Lutheran and six against Colorado College. Miller has now recorded four straight shutouts, and five in the last six matches.

 

Rastello named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Finlandia University freshman middle hitter Kara Rastello (Calumet, Mich.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. Rastello helped her team to a 4-2 record on the week. In six matches, she produced 84 kills (3.82 kills/set), 20 solo blocks and 17 assisted blocks. In one match, Rastello amassed a hitting percentage of .812, just missing the Top 10 in NCAA Div. III. Her team compiled a .593 hitting percentage in the same game, a mark that ranks them tied for ninth in NCAA Div. III play for a three-game match.
