Boggs named Association of Division III Independents men’s Runner of the Week KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado College sophomore Julian Boggs ( Berea, Ky.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents men’s Runner of the Week for the second time this season. Boggs recorded his first individual championship this week when he finished first at the Oklahoma Christian Invitational with a personal best time of 25:57 in the 8K race. He also led Colorado College to the team championship in the event for the second consecutive year. Boggs bettered his top 8K time by 14 seconds, which he set earlier this season. Boggs, who is coached by Ted Castaneda, earned his third top 10 finish of the season and has led the Tigers in every event this season.

Stewart named Association of Division III Independents women’s Runner of the Week KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado College senior Jeanine Stewart ( Gig Harbour, Wash.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s Runner of the Week for the second time this season. Stewart took first place at the Oklahoma Christian Invitational with a personal best time of 18:27 in the 5K race. It was her first career individual title. She also led Colorado College to a first place finish in the event for the second consecutive year. Stewart bettered her previous 5K time by 13 seconds, which she recorded earlier this season. Stewart, who is coached by Ted Castaneda, has led the Tigers in all six events this season and has posted three top 10 finishes.

Fagan receives Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week KANSAS CITY , Mo. – Colorado College sophomore forward Pat Fagan ( St. Louis, Mo.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. Fagan set up the game-tying goal in the 82 nd minute, and then scored the game-winner in overtime as Colorado College (10-5) rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to post a 3-2 victory over Augustana College (9-5-1) in a battle of regionally ranked teams. Fagan’s tally was his team-high fifth game-winning goal of the season. He also leads the team in goals (8), assists (5), and points (21). Fagan, who is coached by Horst Richardson, extended his goal and point streak to three games as the Tigers extended their winning streak to five games.

Taylor receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Meredith College freshman forward Karen Taylor ( Raleigh, N.C.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season. Taylor scored the first goal, and then assisted on the game-winning header off her corner kick in the 108 th minute for a 2-1 victory over Agnes Scott. She also scored the first of five straight Angel goals in a 5-1 win over Cape Fear College as the hosts won the Meredith College Classic. Taylor, who is coached by Paul Smith, has scored 10 goals this season and as helped her team to six straight victories and a 12-4 record.

Challinor named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Newbury College senior setter Ashley Challinor ( Darien, Conn.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. Challinor helped Newbury to a 5-0 week as she averaged 10.5 assists per game. As one of the best servers in the country, Challinor also recorded 46 service aces, good for 3.07 service aces per game. On the season, she is averaging 9.47 assists per game and 1.6 service aces per game. Newbury swept every game on the week, en route to a 16-10 overall record. Challinor is coached by David Hildebrandt.
