Miller dubbed Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nebraska Wesleyan University junior goalkeeper Josh Miller (Rapid City, S.D.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week. Miller posted a pair of shutouts as NWU went 2-0 on the week to extend their winning streak to 10 games. Miller has not allowed a goal in eight straight matches as NWU has shut out nine of their last 11 opponents. The Prairie Wolves are 11-5-0 on the season, thanks to Miller’s 0.71 goals against average.

Tillman named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Salem College sophomore middle blocker Christine Tillman (King, N.C.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. Tillman was selected to the Spirit Classic All-Tournament Team after helping her squad to a 3-2 record on the week. She amassed 55 kills, 34 digs, 12 total blocks and six service aces on the week, her best performance coming in a five-set victory over Sweet Briar College, when she produced 15 kills, 12 digs, a pair of aces, one block solo and one block assist. Salem took second at the Classic.
