Pivarunas named Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior Greg Pivarunas (Elma, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men’s cross country Runner of the Week. Pivarunas ran a 28:34 8K and finished in fourth place out of 70 competitors in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships in Cobleskill, N.Y. He led his team to a fourth place finish out of eight teams and was named First Team All-Conference for his efforts.

Cuba receives Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week honorKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior Angela Cuba (Holliday, Texas) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents women’s cross country Runner of the Week. Cuba ran an 18:40 5K and finished second out of 55 runners at the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships in Cobleskill, N.Y. Her season-best 5K run helped the team to a first place finish overall out of seven teams. Cuba’s performance was good enough for a school record, exceeding the former record by more than a minute, and First Team All-Conference honors.

Fuentes named Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the WeekKANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas sophomore defensive specialist/libero Kelli Fuentes (Garland, Texas) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. In four matches, Fuentes recorded 151 digs, (9.4 digs/set), only eight reception errors and one service ace. She had a season-high 60 digs in a five-set match vs. the University of St. Thomas, setting the school record for digs in a match in the process. She also claimed the school record for digs in a season with 736. |
