Fisher earns Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Green Mountain College senior guard Adam Fisher (Miami, Fla.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. Fisher guided the Eagles to a pair of wins and the championship trophy at the Daniel Webster College Best Western Tip-Off. He helped out all over the floor as he averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 3.5 steals in 39 minutes per game on the weekend. He shot better than 50% from the floor (16-of-31) and was named to the All-Tournament team.

 

Tincknell named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Finlandia University sophomore forward Ally Tincknell (Negaunee, Mich.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. Tincknell helped her team win the Silver Lake College Tip-Off Tournament in Manitowoc, Wis., by averaging 20.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. She also shot a blistering 68% from the field en route to an All-Tournament team selection. In a 65-61 win over Ashford, she tallied 27 points and nine boards and added 14 points and eight rebounds in Finlandia’s 64-54 victory over Silver Lake.
