MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MICHAEL REICH
Colorado College
Senior | Forward | Rolling Hills, CA / The Chadwick School

In a week where Michael Reich of Colorado College averaged 25.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, and collected Most Valuable Player honors at the 2004 CC/Radisson Thanksgiving Invitational, he is this week's Association of Division III Independents Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Reich also shot .533 from the field, .444 from three-point range, and .737 from the line.

The 6-5 forward scored a season-high 29 points and ripped down 10 rebounds, while shooting 9-of-14 from the floor (.643) and 10-of-13 from the stripe (.700) in the Tigers' 65-62 victory over Principia College in Saturday's championship game.

In Friday's 64-59 victory over Concordia College-Moorhead, Reich scored 16 of his game-high 21 points in the second half as the Tigers rallied from a 30-23 halftime deficit. He added six rebounds, shot 7-of-16 overall and 3-of-7 from three-point territory in the come-from-behind win. Despite missing one game with an illness, and a week of practice leading up to the tournament, he is the team's leading point scorer and No. 2 rebounder, and needs just 32 points to become the fifth player in CC history to score 1500 career points.
