Harrington earns Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Southern Vermont College senior forward Nick Harrington (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. Despite three tough losses, Harrington scored his 1,000th point for the Mountaineers during a week where he averaged 29 points and 10 rebounds a game. His high game on the week, when he recorded his milestone point, was a 34-point, 16 rebound effort against Elms. During the week, Harrington shot 73.3 percent from the field (33-of-45) and 72.4 percent from the free throw line (21-of-29).

 

Ciorciari named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – St. Joseph’s College (N.Y.) senior guard Annamarie Ciorciari (Queens, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. Ciorciari helped carry the Lady Bears despite going 0-2 on the week in two non-conference road games. Her week was highlighted with a double-double performance against New Jersey City University on Dec. 5 when she put up 19 points and 10 rebounds. For the week, she averaged 18.5 points, seven rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals per game. She also shot 80 percent from the charity stripe (12-of-15).
