KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mount Mary College freshman forward Ashley O’Brien (St. Francis, Wis.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. O’Brien was a key performer for Mount Mary in their first win of the season over Silver Lake College. She connected on 10-of-15 field goals (66.7%), including 3-of-6 three pointers and 4-of-6 free throws, good for 27 total points.
