Robinson earns Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lincoln University (Pa.) freshman guard Ja’Juan Robinson (Baltimore, Md.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. Robinson led Lincoln to a pair of victories at the RDV Sportsplex Tournament in Orlando, Fla., and was named tournament MVP after averaging 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as the Lions defeated 24th-ranked North Central, 75-53, and Buffalo State, 110-103, in overtime. In the win over North Central, Robinson contributed 12 points, six assists and five rebounds. Against Buffalo State, he scored 20 of his career-high 29 points in the second half and in overtime. He also grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds in the OT win. On the two-game tournament, Robinson made 50 percent of his baskets (16-for-32). With the wins, Lincoln moves to 7-3 under coach Garfield Yuille.
