Metzger receives Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY , Mo. – Meredith College junior guard Autumn Metzger ( Monroe, N.C.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In a game on 12/19, Metzger hit 7-of-8 three point shots en route to a 23-point performance against Pacific College of Oregon (73-76) at the Hoop & Slam Classic held in Honolulu, Hawaii. The trip was the first time in school history that an Angels sports team visited Hawaii. Meredith is currently 1-5 and is coached by David Zinn.

All Players of the Week for All Sports

The Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week awards program begins on September 12, 2005 and is based on nominations from the organization's member schools.
