Gordon earns AD3I men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Finlandia University senior guard Tyler Gordon (Red Cliff, Wis.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. In a 95-93 loss to Albion, Gordon scored a career-high 47 points, including 33 in the first half. He shot an amazing 85% from the floor (17-of-20) and 85.7% from beyond the arc (6-of-7). He also chipped in 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in the narrow defeat.

 

Osley named AD3I women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mount Mary College junior guard Jordan Osley (Milwaukee, Wis.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. Osley led all scorers in her opening game of the week as she poured in 37 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. She shot 42.9% from the field (15-of-35), including five three-pointers. In game number two, she contributed 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, leaving her with a 26.0 points per game average on the week.

The Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week awards program begins on August 31, 2009, and is based on nominations from the organization's member schools.
