Norton earns Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas junior guard Jim Norton (Louisville, K.Y.) is this week’s Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week. In a pair of games, he scored 48 points for a 24.0 average. He shot 55.2% from the field (16-of-29), 33.3% from beyond the arc (4-of-12) and 85.7% from the foul line (12-of-14). He also added four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

 

Cole named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Dallas sophomore forward/center Joirdan Cole (Plano, Texas) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In three games, she scored a total of 38 points for a 12.7 average. During that stretch, she led the team in rebounds with 26 (8.7 per game), blocks with 10, steals with 6 and free throw percentage with a mark of 88.9 (8-of-9). Her best performance came against Austin College when she accumulated 13 points, 9 boards, 5 blocks and a trio of both steals and assists.
