Cundari named AD3I baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) senior first baseman Mike Cundari (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Peter's) has been named the Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Cundari was the leading run producer for St. Joseph's in their season-opening Florida trip, finishing with a team-high five RBI and also scored two runs. The first baseman opened up the season on a tear as he went 4-for-4, falling a home run shy of the cycle, while driving in three runs as the Bears defeated SUNY Maritime on Friday. The senior recorded a hit in four of St. Joseph's five games on the weekend and concluded the week hitting .471 (8-for-17) to go along with a .500 on base percentage and a .647 slugging percentage.
