Cutrone receives Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior second baseman/pitcher Chris Cutrone (Levittown, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Cutrone pitched a gem for St. Joseph's in their final game of the week against SUNYIT on Sunday. The junior pitched a complete game shutout, scattering seven hits and finished with three strikeouts to be on the winning end of the first 1-0 shutout victory in the Bears seven-year history. The second baseman/pitcher also contributed at the dish, hitting .250 (4-for-16) with five runs scored and three RBIs as St. Joseph's went 4-2 on the week.
