Cutrone receives Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) senior second baseman/pitcher Chris Cutrone (Levittown, N.Y.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Cutrone had an impressive week at the plate for the Bears, hitting .583 (14-for-24) with four runs scored and three runs batted in over six games. The senior connected on the go-ahead two-run double as St. Joseph's defeated NYU on April 10th. In a doubleheader split with NYU on April 11th, Cutrone totaled six hits, including a 4-for-4 outing in game one, with three runs and an RBI. During a twin bill with Staten Island, Cutrone compiled three hits and extended his hitting streak to a team season-high-tying 12 games with a double.
