OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior forward Trevor Johnson (Lincoln, Neb.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Johnson was the lynchpin of a Prairie Wolves squad that went 2-0 during the weekend earning Snyder Classic Tournament MVP honors along the way. The senior missed just one field goal attempt in two games going 12-of-13 (92.3 percent) from the floor scoring 19 points in each victory as Nebraska Wesleyan improved to 5-0 on the year. The forward also pulled down eight boards in each contest and dished out 3.5 assists per game. Last year's Second Team All-Independent selection currently leads the team pouring in 20.0 points per game and is shooting a dazzling 73.3 percent (33-of-45) from the field on the year.
