OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University junior guard Trey Bardsley (Beatrice, Neb.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Bardsley was named the MVP of the 26th Annual Snyder Classic held over the Thanksgiving weekend as he led Nebraska Wesleyan to a pair of victories. Bardsley averaged 22.5 points in the two wins with his best performance coming in a 115-97 win over Simpson College. In the victory, he recorded his first career double-double with 26 points and 14 assists, one shy of the school record, while pulling down eight rebounds. The junior was 6-of-10 from downtown in the win, hitting eight trifectas on the weekend. Bardsley currently leads the GPAC in assists and leads NAIA Division II in 3-pointers made per game (4.2).
