OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) senior forward David Louison (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Louison averaged 20.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.5 blocks per game in leading the Bears to a 1-1 week. On Thursday against HVIAC rival Berkeley College with the No. 1 seed in the conference at stake, Louison posted team highs in points (16), boards (13) and helpers (5). In addition, the senior rejected a school record seven shots. On Saturday, St. Joseph's downed Albany Pharmacy in their regular season finale to clinch the No. 2 seed. The senior led the offensive attack, dropping a game-high 25 points on 12-of-23 shooting. The forward also grabbed a game-best 16 boards to secure his 18th double-double of the season.
