Vicaire receives Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – University of Maine-Presque Isle junior guard Chase Vicaire (Mattawamkeag, Maine) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Vicaire knocked down seven three-pointers in the last regular season game for the Owls. The 5'11 guard was again efficient from the field, hitting 7-of-11 shots to increase his AD3I leading three-point accuracy mark to 45.7 percent for the season. Vicaire added two rebounds, two assists and a steal in the 83-68 win that insured Maine-Presque Isle its first winning season in men's basketball in more than a decade. Vicaire is the Owls leading scorer on the season with 14.5 points per game, good for seventh in the Association and also ranks No. 11 in total rebounds.
