OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Pine Manor College sophomore guard Taverick Roberson (Pittsfield, Mass.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Roberson averaged 22.0 points per game on 64.3 percent shooting in leading the Gators to a 2-0 week. The sophomore opened up the week with 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting in Pine Manor's, 101-72, win over UMaine Augusta on Monday. The guard also added four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 30 minutes of action. Roberson concluded the week with a 19-point outing in the Gators, 96-79, triumph over Lyndon State on Thursday. The sophomore shot 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) from the floor and added five rebounds and five assists as Pine Manor improved to 11-8. Roberson earns Player of the Week honors for the first time this season and is currently ranked fourth in the Association with 18.3 points per game.
