Annorh receives Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – SUNY Canton senior guard Sam Annorh (Queens, N.Y.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Annorh averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game as he shot 55 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 87 percent from the foul line in a 2-0 week for SUNY Canton. The senior finished with a game-high 26 points on 10-for-14 shooting to go with four steals, two assists and two rebounds in an 86-62 win over SUNY Potsdam. The guard followed that up with 23 points, eight assists and three steals in a 66-63 win at Alfred State. Annorh sank two free throws with 11 seconds left to seal the win. The senior is now a two-time recipient of the award and leads the Association with 21.8 points per game.
