OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology senior forward Samuel Rarick (Chicago, Ill.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Student-Athlete of the Month for February. Rarick had a dominant February, averaging 19.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game on 58.6 percent shooting as the Scarlet Hawks went 6-0 in the month. The senior recorded two double-doubles and shot over 50 percent in five of the six games. The forward recorded 20 or more points in four of the contests and averaged 30.3 minutes per game. Rarick scored a month-high 22 points in wins over Lakeland and Lincoln Christian and recorded double-doubles in victories over Dubuque and Emmaus.
