OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – UC Santa Cruz freshman Paul Colosi (Corralitos, Calif.) has been chosen as the Association of Division III Independents men's cross country Student-Athlete of the Month for October. Colosi finished 46th in a time of 26:07 (11th out of Division III runners) at the 42nd Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Oregon helping the team to a 10th place team finish (3rd out of Division III teams) and helping to earn the team a top 10 Regional Ranking. Colosi then led the UC Santa Cruz men with a 32nd place finish with a time of 26:19 (1st out of Division III runners) at the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara, California leading the team to the top finishing Division III team. In his third race of the month, Colosi dominated the Banana Slug Invitational with a 49-second victory in matching his fastest time of the season 26:07 in muddy and wet conditions. Colosi's 26:07 personal record in the 8k sits at No. 8 on the Banana Slugs' All-Time list.
