OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior forward Taylor Raccuglia (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been selected the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Raccuglia had a career night as the Lady Bears defeated rivals St. Joseph's (L.I.), 54-40, in their lone game of the week, to move to 7-3 on the year. The junior finished with her second double-double of the season finishing with a season-high 15 points on 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) shooting. The forward proved to be a stat-sheet stuffer contributing 19 rebounds and five blocks, both one shy of a school record, along with six assists. Raccuglia's prescence on the defensive end of the floor helped pace a St. Joseph's team that held their rivals, St. Joseph's (L.I.), to only 18.8 percent shooting from the field. The junior is now averaging 10.9 points per game, 8.3 boards per game and leads the team with 2.0 rejections per game.
