Brandon anointed Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College of New Rochelle sophomore center Jasmine Brandon (Jersey City, N.J.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Brandon posted her NCAA Division III-leading second 40+ point game, scoring 42 points in the Blue Angels' non-conference matchup with 10-1 Pine Manor College. The sophomore went 16-of-23 (69.6 percent) from the field and 9-of-11 (81.8 percent) from the line to become the first Division III player this season to eclipse the 40-point barrier twice. The center added a game-high 14 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the season.
