Presque Isle, Maine -- The Maine Presque Isle women used a balanced attack to defeat the visiting Eagles of Eastern Maine Community College 68-52 Saturday afternoon.
The Owls had five players register double digits and were led by Amanda Hotham and Kristin Thompson who each scored 14 points to improve the Maine Presque Isle record to 12-4. Sophomore Hotham also gathered 14 rebounds and Olivia McNally added 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Junior co-captain Brigette Pratt and Darby Toth rounded out the Owls in double figures with 11 points each.
Kara Hebert led the Eagles (3-12) with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Carolyn Best had 12 points and 14 rebounds.
The Owls will next play at Maine Maritime on Tuesday, January 28. The Eagles will also head to the road to battle Central Maine Community College on Wednesday, January 29.
