Toth named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – University of Maine-Presque Isle junior guard Darby Toth (North Port, Fla.) has been selected the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Toth scored 56 points in three games on 19-of-30 shooting, while grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing out 17 assists on the week. Against Central Maine, Toth scored 30 points and handed out five assists and in a win against Maine-Machias, the 5-2 guard had game highs of eight defensive rebounds and seven assists with only one turnover in 38 minutes of play. For the week, Toth averaged 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game and connected on 63.3 percent of her shots from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.
