Lynch named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Pine Manor College senior guard Sybil Lynch (Hoboken, N.J.) has been selected the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Lynch put up 17.3 points per game to help lead the Gators to a 2-1 record on the week. The senior also averaged 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game, while scoring ten or more points in all three games. The guard dropped in 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting from downtown in Pine Manor's 82-43 win at Green Mountain on Tuesday. Lynch followed that performance up with another 21-point outing against St. Joseph (Vt.) on Thursday, connecting on five trifectas. The senior capped off the week by putting up 10 points and seven rebounds in the Gators, 77-66, victory over fellow AD3I member The College of New Rochelle on Saturday. Lynch earns Player of the Week honors for the first time this season and currently leads the Association with 46 made three-pointers.
