Fahy receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior Shannon Fahy (Breezy Point, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's soccer Player of the Week. Last year's AD3I Offensive Player of the Year helped lead the Lady Bears to a 2-0 record on the week, finishing with five goals to bring her season total to 14. In St. Joseph's win over St. Elizabeth on October 3rd the midfielder picked up four goals, notching her second hat trick of the season. Fahy's four goals were part of a 19-goal barrage, the most in a Division III men's or women's soccer game this season. The junior also added a goal earlier in the week in St. Joseph's narrow 3-2 overtime win over Briarcliffe.
