Usta receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) freshman forward Cansu Usta (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's soccer Player of the Week. The freshman's performance on the pitch this week has helped the Lady Bears reach 10 wins for the first time in the program's history. Usta netted seven goals and dished an assist in two wins, including her fifth hat trick of the season against Medgar Evers. She currently leads all of Division III with 30 goals and 67 total points and is now a two-time Player of the Week recipient.
