Ristow Named Association of Division III Independents Student-Athlete of the Month for October

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Independents named Mount Mary University women's soccer forward Emily Ristow its Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of October.

Ristow, a junior from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, had an outstanding month for the Blue Angels, scoring 24 goals while contributing three assists for an astonishing 51 points in the month. The forward scored four games in a game on four separate occasions during October and was named the Association's Player of the Week on October 22nd. Of the 11 games Mount Mary played during the month, Ristow scored in nine of those and missed one game for a family emergency. The junior now has 32 goals, five assists and 69 points during the 2014 season and has recorded 119 shots and five game-winning goals on the season. Ristow is now Mount Mary's all-time leader in career goals, playing just three seasons. The forward ends the season second in the Association in goals and points while leading in shots.
