GaNun awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior middle hitter Lauren GaNun (Breezy Point, N.Y.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week. GaNun started the week off with a double-double at Staten Island, slamming down a team-high 15 kills to go along with a team-high 27 digs. The First Team All-Independent selection from a year ago concluded the week with a strong 15-kill performance in St. Joseph's straight-set victory at Old Westbury on September 11th. The junior hit an impressive .583 during the contest and recorded five digs as the Lady Bears improved to 2-1 to begin the 2014 season. The middle hitter averaged 5.00 kills per set, 5.33 digs per set, hit an efficient .333 during the week and now leads the Association with 4.33 kills per set on the year.
